About Michael Matvieshen
Michael Bradley Matvieshen is a seasoned entrepreneur and innovator based in Kelowna, British Columbia. Born on a farm and shaped by a hands-on, values-driven upbringing, Michael went on to attend Mission College, where he studied mathematics before diving into business full-time. With a diverse career spanning international solar energy, construction, and agri-business, he has led projects in partnership with global giants like General Motors—most notably designing and building the first Chevy Volt charging system and a solar-powered charging station at GM’s Asian headquarters in Shanghai.
Michael is also the founder of a successful food business that has donated several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of premium food to Okanagan food banks. In 2024, his efforts were recognized when his farm store won “Best in Kelowna.” Known for his tenacity, intentionality, and consistency, Michael employs over 100 people across ventures that prioritize sustainability, community impact, and long-term innovation—such as his passive solar greenhouses that dramatically reduce operational costs.
